After 15 months of dating, pop sensation Taylor Swift and DJ Calvin Harris have parted ways — but it wasn’t cheating or drama that caused the split, it was, allegedly, the two artists’ conflicting personalities.
“He just doesn’t like the hoopla…”
Before she started dating Calvin in early 2015, Taylor had already built up a large, solid group of all-star girlfriends — including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lorde, Karlie Kloss, Haim, Lily Aldredge and many more — who she was (and is) rarely seen without.
“My friendship group is one of my favorite things about my life right now,” she told Vogue Australia. “It’s the first time in my life that I’ve had anything strong like that in the friendship department.”
Sadly, Taylor’s constant social gatherings, uninterrupted time in the spotlight and large group of friends wasn’t compatible with Calvin’s introverted, private personality and lifestyle.
“He’s super chill and very quiet,” an insider told People. “He just doesn’t like the hoopla… With the squad and all of that. He doesn’t like to have cameras in his face all the time. He’s a private guy.”
But, even with the breakup, it is said that Calvin and Taylor are on good terms and still have a massive amount of respect for each other.
“He very much admires her as a person and what she has been able to do with her career. This is what drew him to her in the first place. They are still friendly,” the insider also told People.
