Science Has Gone Too Far With Clear Pumpkin Pie

-

There’s a scene in Jurassic Park that applies to a lot of the news today. A group of scientists are sitting around a dining table in the park celebrating the resurrection of prehistoric life. Except for one man: Dr. Ian Malcolm payed by Jeff Goldblum. He thinks that giving new life to dinosaurs is a terrible idea (which it was) and that science had gone too far. He says, “Your scientists were so preoccupied with what they could do that they never stopped to ask if they should.” Then all hell breaks loose.

An upscale restaurant in Chicago just debuted clear pumpkin pie, and I can’t help but feel like all hell is about to break loose.

Alinea is a restaurant known for it’s crazy culinary creations. Their episode on Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” blew my mind. But now they have gone too far.

Critics are calling it “opulent”, “sumptuous”, and “surrealist”.

OK, get over it.

But it’s tiny, like less than an actual bite of pie.

What is this? A PIE FOR ANTS!??

Also, eating at Alinea will cost you at least $250.

That pie is not worth it.

In conclusion:

You don’t mess with Grandma’s pumpkin pie.
