Remember how much fun you had watching the Olympics this winter? Seems like forever ago, right? That’s when “The Voice” started. Seems like forever ago.
Tonight’s episode was way more about touting current artists and new albums dropping than giving the audience a winner, but it’s hard to complain about a lineup full of Alabama, Ed Sheeran, Tim McGraw, Robin Thicke, Coldplay and One Republic.
I lost count of the number of performances we were treated to. However, Christina Grimmie got to sing with Ed Sheeran, Jake Worthington joined Alabama on stage and Josh Kaufman blurred lines with Robin Thicke.
The real, not so surprising news, is that Josh Kaufman is your newest Voice! The soulful crooner from Indianapolis won America over with his fedoras and Golden Retriever like qualities (trust me, that’s a compliment).
And did we mention that last night’s episode was a feast for every country music fan’s ears? Alabama, Tim McGraw and Justin Moore all performed on the main stage and no doubt, won over countless more fans to the genre. We obviously loved it.
