Can you believe it’s been 9 years since we first heard the phrase, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk?” Yes, on this day in 2005, Trace Adkins released the single “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” which skyrocketed to No. 2 on Billboard‘s Hot Country chart and even made its way into the Top 40 of Billboard‘s Hot 100.

Apparently, the song was written after Adkins and two other musicians watched a woman dance the night away in a club.

And the world was changed.
