This Is Us took home an award that was appropriately named for the show at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Milo Ventimiglia accepted the Tearjerker award with his 9-year-old co-star Lonnie Chavis (young Randall) who promptly stole the show.

The pair took the stage and Lonnie grabbed their golden popcorn trophy. Milo said his thank yous and then became entirely irrelevant as the young star found the perfect way to pass off the popcorn.

“I can’t keep faking that this is not heavy!” he said to Milo before giving the most perfect acceptance speech in which he thanked God, his family and even the show’s writers.

The show’s writers!

Kid, you’ll go far.
