Kellie Pickler is, perhaps, the most criminally underrated female working the business today. And that’s not for lack of trying: she’s produced numerous acclaimed albums (including 2012’s 100 Proof and the equally-engaging follow-up The Woman I Am in 2013) and several bonafide hits (like the resounding ballad “I Wonder”). She’s already mastered the reality TV world, triumphantly taking over several shows previously. Following her impressive run on “American Idol” in 2006, she went on to become the dancing champion on the sixteenth installment of “Dancing with the Stars,” with Derek Hough as her smooth-moving partner in crime.
This fall, Pickler is expected to continue her cultural domination, as she takes over CMT with her starring role in her own series called “I Love Kellie Pickler” (that’s the working title). The country singer will serve up 10 episodes, at 30 minutes each and promises to mix “Friends” with “I Love Lucy.”
We could not be more amped for what will surely prove to be Pickler‘s biggest year yet and here’s why:
She’s sassy when she needs to be, whipping hair along the way. She won’t be afraid to tell the cameramen exactly what she thinks.
She’s a such a cute prankster. (We’re waiting to count all the pranks she harpoons at her husband and songwriter Kyle Jacobs.)
She’s one big goofball, rolled up in undeniable wit and adorable charm. (Can you imagine an ENTIRE show around this woman?!)
There’s a chance she’ll sing every chance she gets, and a powerful singer, she is.
