Cole Swindell has had three No. 1 singles, is the reigning ACM New Artist of the Year and he still says the most nervous he has ever been was playing in front of a very small crowd in a very small venue– and that’s even after performing in front of 60,000 screaming fans with Kenny Chesney by his side.

We sat down with Cole to discuss his upcoming Down Home Sessions EP and to discuss that small venue with that small crowd where the song he performed just happened to be a Chesney hit, “Don’t Happen Twice.” Little did he know 14 years later he would get to sing it again with the man who made it famous.

Cole is set to release his second Down Home Sessions EP on November 6, just a week before he kicks off his fall headlining Down Home Tour as a part of the country edition of Monster Energy’s Outbreak Tour.
