This boozy apple cider slush recipe is perfect for fall and packs a serious punch! Not to mention, it’s just fun to have an excuse to drink a slushie, don’t you think?
How To Make a Boozy Apple Cider Slush:
- 3/4 cups apple cider or juice
- 1 1/2 cups bourbon
- 3/4 cup brown sugar cinnamon simple syrup (Find the recipe here)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 5 cups dry hard cider
- Apple slices (for garnish)
In a 13-inch glass or metal pan, combine apple cider, bourbon, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Freeze uncovered for about 4 hours. Take out of the freezer and, using a fork, stir up the mixture and scrape up the icy bits. Return it to the freezer for a few hours, stirring every so often until the texture is similar to shaved ice. When you’re ready to serve it, break up large pieces of the ice mixture and put them into a glass. Top with dry cider and garnish with apple!
