Who doesn’t love a good Reese’s Cup? Honestly, I probably wouldn’t trust someone who claims they don’t like chocolate and peanut butter combined. I like to think that when God planned out the universe, he created chocolate and peanuts knowing that one day, we’d all be rejoicing in its goodness. But, I digress.

This recipe will change hot chocolate as you know it. While it doesn’t call for any alcohol, you can definitely throw in some Bailey’s to give it a twist! Whip it up while you binge watch some cheesy Hallmark movies, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Peanut butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • Whipped cream (optional, but strongly recommended)
  • Fudge sauce (again, optional, but not really)
  • Chopped Reese’s Pieces
  • Whole Reese’s Cups cut in half
Directions:
Spread some peanut butter on a plate and dip your mug rim into it, then into the Reese’s pieces so they stick to the rim. In a sauce pan on medium heat, mix together the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and peanut butter. Whisk until the peanut butter is melted and the sugar has completely dissolved. Then, use a ladle to divide the cocoa into two mugs. Top with whipped cream, fudge drizzle, and Reese’s cups (or any left over Reese’s pieces as you’d like!) and enjoy!
