Tornado Potatoes Are Officially The Most Exciting Way To Eat Potatoes

The potato has been one of the most beloved side dishes and meal staples for years and there are so many different ways to enjoy them. Mashed, baked, fried–you name it. But now it’s time for potatoes 2.0: The Tornado Potato.

Better Homes and Gardens shared a quick how-to for spiral potatoes on their Instagram, and we’re already hooked! Whip these up for dinner or for a game day snack and you’ll never look at potatoes the same way.

How To Make Tornado Potatoes:

  • Potatoes, small
  • Wooden skewers
  • Seasonings and dipping sauces of choice (salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, garlic salt, etc.)

Place one small potato on a skewer. Using a sharp knife, carefully begin to spiral the potato, twisting it as you go. Pull the potato apart to stretch it down the skewer, then make a mixture of your favorite seasonings in a small bowl. Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil, then coat in your seasoning mixture. Bake at 320 degrees for about 25 minutes or until the potatoes are crispy. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces or dressing!
