Winter is rough and being all but forced to stay inside for fear of freezing to death is no way to live. However, unless you live in the southernmost part of the country, winter is an inevitable truth for us all. While you’re counting down the days until Day Light Savings, which could arguably be a holiday this time of year, check out these 15 sunny beaches.
And maybe, even if only for a moment, you’ll forget that it’s winter.
15 Beaches That Will Make You Forget It’s Winter :
1. This beautiful aqua water beach.
2. These super chill surfers at Scarborough Beach.
Surf’s up at Scarborough Beach! ? Surfing is a way of life in Australia, so if you’re visiting over the warmer months, why not try a surf lesson? This aerial shot was snapped by @tommyiff with @gosurfperth, who run laid-back, fun surf lessons just 20 minutes from the CBD of @westernaustralia’s capital city of #Perth. Check out more photos like this over on @cntraveler, we’re doing an @Australia takeover of their Instagram account which starts in the next few hours! #MyAustralia
3. These cozy grass-roof huts that dip right into the crisp blue water and don’t even require a real beach.
4. This incredible sunset on the beach.
What an inviting set of stairs! This spectacular vista is #PortNoarlunga in @southaustralia – there’s great fishing and diving here, and the steep red sandstone cliffs make for excellent photography. The good news is you don’t have to drive far to get here, it’s just 45 minutes from the capital city of #Adelaide, and the @mclaren_vale wine region is just a stone’s throw away. The beaches around #Dunsborough and #Busselton are nearly always calm as they’re sheltered from the afternoon south-westerly, so bring the umbrella and an esky and settle in for the day.
