The best thing about spring and summer is the sweet tea. When made just right, sweet tea is the single best beverage on the face of the planet. It has everything: it’s sweet, it’s cold, sometimes it’s minty or lemony and it’s a taste of home.

Here are three sweet tea recipes to keep that daytime refreshment going through those humid summer nights:

 1. Beggars Tea

In this classic summer cocktail recipe you simply grab your biggest glass of sweet tea and add in the vodka of your choice. I recommend using Sweet Tea Vodka.

 Ingredients:

1 pint glass, filled with ice cubes

2 oz. Sweet Tea Vodka

1-2 tbsp Coarse Sugar (optional)

1 lemon wedge (garnish, optional)

1 sprig of fresh mint (garnish, optional)

Directions:

Rim your pint glass in the coarse sugar (if using) and then fill with ice cubes.

Pour in the sweet tea vodka over the ice and fill the remainder of the glass with sweet tea.

Garnish with lemon wedge and mint.

2. Hiram Walker

This is another delicious take on traditional sweet tea. In tall glass peach schnapps, sweet tea and lemon come together to make something delicious. This is the perfect drink for a day on the lake!

Ingredients:

1 Collins glass, filled with ice cubes

2 parts Peach Schnapps

1 part lemon juice

4 parts sweet tea

1 lemon wedge (optional)

Directions:

Add all ingredients to your Collins glass over ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

3. The Shorney

If you like something a little less traditional and a little bubblier, the Shorney is for you! Tea, coconut rum and Sprite? Sign me up.Ingredients:
