Tailgating is an art. As loyal fans, this is as essential to a game day ritual as the players’ pre-game routine is for their performance. It’s a responsibility and it needs to be done well. We all know that game days get a little crazy, and in all the hustle and bustle preparing game day goodies can get pushed to the back burner. These recipes are quick, easy, and affordable gameday treats that will keep people coming back to your tailgate all season long.
4 Quick and Easy Game Day Goodies:
1. Hot dip
2 blocks cream cheese
1 jar picante mild
1 cylinder of shakable parmesan cheese
Evenly layer cream cheese in the bottom of a pie dish.
Spread picante sauce on top until it covers the cream cheese.
Dump shakeable parmesan on top until its covered.
Sprinkle pepper on top of the parmesan.
Cook at 350 for 30 minutes or until it starts bubbling in the center.
Let it cool and then dig in with chips!
2. Fall Nut Mix
1 bag candy corn
1 bag (or 2 cans) salted peanuts
Toss together in a bowl.
Dig in for a perfect fall snack!
3. Sweet and Salty Chex Mix
2 bags of Sweet and Salty Chex Mix
2 bags M&Ms
Mix together in a bowl.
Simple, but crazy addicting.
4. Black bean, Corn and Cilantro Salsa
2 cans whole kernal corn
2 cans black beans
1 red onion
1 bundle of cilantro
Pour strained corn and black beans into a large bowl.
Add half of of the chopped red onion, ¾ cup of chopped cilantro, ¾ cup lime juice, ½ teaspoon of salt.
Stir until well mixed.
Now, dive in with tortilla chips!
