Salty and sweet goes together more often than people would like to admit. After all, there’s a reason candied bacon exists. This sandwich incorporates salty bacon into the sweet flavors of honey mustard and raisin bread, making for a sandwich you can enjoy any time of year. Check it out.
- 3 strips bacon
- 4 ounces sliced deli-style maple turkey
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 slices raisin black bread
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons honey mustard
Cook bacon, remove, and drain skillet. Then add maple turkey to the skillet and cook briefly (just to heat).
Butter bread. Layer with two slices of cheese, add on turkey, and then bacon. Top with honey mustard and another two slices swiss cheese. Complete sandwich, then place in skillet on medium heat, until cheese melts.
Cut in half and serve.
