If you are anything like me, you usually don’t get a haircut unless you are in crisis mode. This means you can either no longer live with the mess on the top of your head, or you’ve had a major change in your life like a breakup or the birth of a child.
While I am always envious of the responsible Suzys out there who schedule their appointments exactly 6 to 8 weeks apart in order to keep their hair in top shape, that’s just not me and I am pretty sure I am not alone. In fact, you know this article is for you if you frequently find yourself looking at your hair and thinking, “I wonder if it’s time for a cut?”
5 Signs You Need a Haircut:
1. Your hair has no shape.
If your hair is falling flat and nothing in the world will give it any lift, that’s a sure sign it is time to visit your hairdresser. I have shorter hair, which means when mine gets overgrown, it starts to look like a brown helmet is sitting on top of my head. That’s when I know it is beyond time!
2. It takes longer to style your hair.
When you are suddenly spending more time than normal to get your hair to look decent, you need a cut!
3. You have split ends.
Most of us take split ends as a sign that it’s time to visit the salon. But in reality, if you have split ends, you’ve waited too long.
4. You’ve worn your hair up more than you’ve worn it down.
A huge sign that you need a cut is if you are wearing it up or covering it up more often than not. This means you just aren’t happy with they way it is looking. Call your hairdresser and see her stat!
5. Your hair tangles all the time.
Dry, damaged hair tangles more easily and the more you tug at it, the more you risk further damage.
