Football season is here and that means your Saturdays are going to be filled with football, tailgating and of course, fashion. We understand that means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but there are still a few guidelines every girl needs to follow when headed out the door to a tailgate.

DOs and DON’Ts: What to Wear to a Tailgate:

DO: show your team spirit by wearing something with your team mascot on it.

DON’T: overdo the team mascot attire. One or two pieces and you are good.

DO: leave the high heels at home. There is usually a lot of walking involved when going to college football games, you don’t want to be miserable.

DON’T: wear anything that involves face paint. You’re an adult at a college football game, not an adult at a clown college.

DO: wear your team colors if you don’t want to wear anything with a mascot on it.

DON’T: forget your layers. Fall weather is fickle weather and a cool front can move through quickly and unannounced!

DO: wear a dress if that’s your thing. (just not with heels!)

DON’T: forget that jeans or shorts and a tee are just fine too.

DO: accessorize. That is the fun part of your game day outfit!
