Boots are a staple that every girl needs in her closet. But with the selection is so broad, it can be overwhelming to any buyer. There are so many things you have to keep in mind when looking for the perfect pair. To help you out, we made a list of the most common mistakes people make.

5 Mistakes Most People Make When Buying a Pair of Boots:

1. They don’t think about what they will be using the boots for.

Are they purely for fashion or do you plan to ride in them? This is an important question to ask yourself before you head out the door. Heel size, zipper placement, and shaft height are a big deal when it comes to riding boots. Know the answer to this question before you buy.

2. They don’t know the difference in toe shape.

Do you prefer a rounded toe, square toe or pointed toe? Round and square toes give your toes more room to breathe and can be a little more casual. A pointed toe can be dressier and will be a tighter fit.

3. They don’t dress appropriately when trying them on.

If you are going to wear your boots primarily with jeans, don’t try them on with a bare leg!

4. They are afraid to branch out.

While the standard colors are brown and black, don’t forget to check out boots in bold colors or that have intricate stitching.

5. They forget about booties.

Booties are a great way to express your sense of fashion and they look great with jeans, dresses and shorts making them perfect year around.
