Homemade Caramel Sauce
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 Tbls. butter
Pour sugar into a clean pan. Add water, swirl around to even distribute the sugar. Add lemon juice to prevent crystallization. Turn heat to high and don’t touch it until the edges turn brown. Begin swirling the mixture until it is fully brown. Stir in cream and butter.
