At the end of the day, we all return home. Whether that home is an apartment or a mansion, chances are it is filled with the people and things that one loves. It’s this idea that has served as the backbone for the businesses and the designs of former HGTV Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Joanna Gaines recently gave the Today Show a look into the farmhouse that the Gaines family calls home in Waco, Texas. And yes, it is every bit as charming as you might have thought.
“I just feel like you walk in and its like this big hug,” Gaines told Today’s Jenna Bush Hager. “I just love being home. I feel like everywhere you look, there is a story or there is a memory.”
Gaines invited Hager around the farmhouse, showing off everything from the entryway to the living room to baby son Crew’s adorable nursery. Yet, you just might be surprised the room that Joanna says is her favorite.
That, my friends, is her laundry room.
“This is where I read and this is where I write,” Gaines says, pointing to a circular table set in the middle of the room. “This is kind of my space and it smells good and smells fresh. If you are going to have to do a chore, why not do it in a room you love?”
Our thoughts exactly.
