Being a parent is a hard job and it’s even harder when you have to do it in the spotlight. News broke that The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond’s teen daughter, Paige Drummond, was arrested for possession of alcohol.

The issue with possessing alcohol, is that Paige is underage, only 19-years-old. According to the court documents obtained by E!, Ree’s daughter was charged with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age as well as public intoxication. The arrest took place in April in Oklahoma.
The documents revealed the at the time of the arrest, Paige “did appear in a drunken condition.” In Oklahoma the offense is punishable by up to one year in jail and up to a $500 fine.

Here's how to make Paige's oven fries: Peel 4 russets, cut 'em into 8 wedges, throw 'em in a bowl with 1/2 cup olive oil, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon chili powder, and 5 cloves garlic (grated with microplane zester). Toss with your hands, then arrange on 2 baking sheets (so they don’t crowd/steam) and bake 450 degrees for 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan once or twice during baking. They were sizzly and perfect! (And we ate them with fry sauce, which is another story for another time.)
The website reports that in addition, Paige was found in possession of an open beer container, which carries a 30-day jail sentence, a fine of up to $100 or both.
However, according to E!, the district attorney approved a request to dismiss both counts from Paige’s record in May after she paid a little more than $400 in court fees.
Ree Drummond is best known for her Food Network show, The Pioneer Woman, which sees her cooking recipes and sharing lifestyle tips. Ree is married to Ladd Drummond and they share four children, Alex (21), Paige (19) and sons Bryce and Todd. The family resides on a remote working cattle ranch in Oklahoma.
Onward and upward.
