In case you missed it, The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, is opening up a little hotel in her hometown of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and we cannot wait to take a visit! While the official opening date of the hotel has yet to be announced, Ree has shared lots of small details about Pawhuska’s newest addition that have us already packing our bags.
Here’s everything we know so far about the hotel:
It’s called the “Boarding House.”
Ree has repeatedly stated that the place doesn’t exactly feel like a hotel, so that term doesn’t feel right. Instead, she calls it the Boarding House— it’s even monogrammed on the pillows!

We've been arranging, rearranging, dusting, hanging, straightening, and fluffing getting ready for four of our @pwboardinghouse rooms to be photographed for our website tomorrow. Then Thursday we'll arrange, rearrange, dust, hang, straighten and fluff the other four rooms to be photographed Friday. I'm glad we only have eight rooms. I'm gonna be all out of fluff by the end of this week. (I'm better in the kitchen.) Home stretch!
It’s located right near the Pioneer Woman Mercantile.
Basically, a trip to Pawhuska will not be wasted! The Pioneer Woman’s famous Mercantile (AKA, “The Merc”) which is filled with the Pioneer Woman’s latest home items and some good eats.
It’s considered a “Cowboy Luxury” hotel.
We don’t really know what this technically means, but we like the way it sounds.
There will be just 8 rooms available to stay in.
Each room has a different name/theme, like the Emerald Room and the Black and White room. “It’s gonna be small, but it’s also gonna have a lot of heart,” Ree said of the hotel.
You can sign up to be the first to know when it’s open for reservations.
Ree has stated that the Boarding House will be open “very soon,” but no official date has been released. If you sign up on the Pioneer Woman Boarding House website, you can get email notifications as soon as reservations are available.
