We take great joy in sharing these real weddings with you as they are filled with rustic wedding style, creativity, and even a few DIY country wedding ideas along the way. Our hope is that these Real Country Weddings will inspire and guide you as you plan your own country wedding.
The Real Country Wedding we are featuring today is the wedding of Bryan and Terise Champagne. They were married in their very own back yard and ended the evening under a starry sky with a bon fire. How romantic is that?
Of course we had to know all the fun details of the day:
What made you choose to do a rustic/country wedding?
Honestly why not do country! Once it’s in your blood I wouldn’t know any other way to have it!
What was your:
Something old: It was my first set of pearls given to me by the woman I called my “fairy godmother.” She also performed the ceremony!
Something new: My something new came from my soon-to-be husband Bryan. He gave me a diamond necklace and earrings for our wedding day.
Something borrowed: The something borrowed were bandanas we wore to cover our eyes prior to the ceremony so we could hold hands and talk before we said ” I do.”
Something blue: My something blue were my garters and a blue diamond bracelet.
Was there anyone who couldn’t be there that you honored during your special day?
Our son Alexavier Champagne was unable to attend. In his honor, there was a poem written on the program for him.
And now photos from the special day:
