Trisha Yearwood Shares Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition

-

With Thanksgiving coming up next Thursday (Nov. 23), Trisha Yearwood is getting ready early and sharing her favorite Thanksgiving tradition.

The Georgia native was in the kitchen on set of her Food Network show, “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,” filming the Thanksgiving episode when she shared the Thanksgiving tradition she looks forward to.

“It’s always about getting together,” Trisha said. “Especially as my sister and I got older and had our own lives and children—getting together with our family was more important and it changed, the nature of it changed, sometimes it wasn’t always on Thanksgiving day depending on everbody’s schedule. I think what I learned from that, is family is about who you can count on your life and sometimes it’s your mom and dad and sometimes it’s a best friend. It’s really nice to just celebrate together.”

The “She’s in Love with the Boy” singer took to Instagram to share the video and ask for fans favorite traditions.

“What is your favorite Thanksgiving day tradition?, she wrote in the post. “Join my #TrishasKitchen Thanksgiving episode on @FoodNetwork tomorrow to see some of min.”

Trisha’s Southern Kitchen airs Tuesdays at 9a.m. on the Food Network.
