7 Must-Haves for Tackling Whole30 in the New Year

It’s here– New Year’s resolution time. The gym is crowded, no one wants to go out for drinks and everyone’s pantry is stocked full of gluten-free, dairy-free, grain-free “snacks.”

You probably have a friend attempting the Whole30 eating plan right now. You’re probably wondering if you should do it. You may be wondering what is Whole 30?

Whether you’re attempting or just helping your friends along the way, you need a few items in your midst at all times.

7 Must-Haves for Tackling Whole 30 in the New Year:

1. Clarified Butter or Ghee
It’s the only type of dairy allowed, so you butter make the most of it.

2. A List
These 30 days are not the time to go to the grocery store without a list. You’ll walk out with something not in the plan and eat it.

3. A Firm “No”
If you’re a softie, it’s time to buck-up. Someone’s birthday at work? No, you don’t want that cake! Pizza party for the big game? Maybe next year!

4. A Partner
The first few days are the hardest, you need someone to complain to. Ideally, that person is complaining about the same things you are. Otherwise, you’re just complaining and annoying.

5. LaCroix
Yep, cracking open a LaCroix will help you feel a little more normal– you can pretend it’s a beer or coke.

6. Guacamole
Yes, you can eat guac! You just can’t eat tortilla chips.

7. Potatoes
Don’t fry ’em or salt ’em, but enjoy.
