All the folks around Brownsville say she’s crazy, but no one is saying that about Barrett Baber‘s performance of “Delta Dawn” on the Top 11 episode of “The Voice.” The #TeamBlake contestant convinced his coach and wife to re-do the classic song with some flare. A lot of flare.

Baber is a songwriter as much as a performer and it really showed with this performance.

Barrett Baber and Blake Shelton are joined by Barrett’s wife in this week’s #TheVoice rehearsal…

Delta Dawn” was originally released in 1972 from Tanya Tucker. Safe to say– Tanya’s never done it like this before. Probably.

After Barrett’s performance, Blake Shelton said Barrett just took everyone to church, even though that’s not what the song is about.

“This is the best night of the show so far. You made a song that has nothing to do with church, but you took us to church.”

Tanya Tucker tweeted in agreement.
