Almost a decade ago, Lee Brice got his first No. 1 hit as a songwriter after penning “More Than a Memory” for Garth Brooks.

During the most recent episode of “The Voice,” Barrett Baber sang the hit that earned Brice his own No. 1 and the award for CMA Song of the Year– “I Drive Your Truck.”

This information is valid because after Baber nailed his performance coach Blake Shelton only had one thing to say, “Barrett, dude, you amaze me. You never wanna compare somebody to somebody else, but sometimes you have to. It’s happened tonight. The only other artist I’ve ever seen give that much to a performance is Garth Brooks.”

Currently, “The Voice” is in the live playoff rounds, where the Top 20 artists compete to secure a spot in the live shows. Artists perform live, and America votes to save their two favorite artists from each team. The coaches then save one remaining artist to complete their roster. You can vote for your favorite artist here.
