Brad Paisley says the worst country music songs are the ones that go, “Oh, I love you and everything is great.” Actually, that does sound like a terrible song, but are failed relationships really good for country music?

This summer it seemed like no country music marriage was safe after announcements from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Jake Owen rocked the headlines, but Brad, who’s been happily married for 12 years, says it could be really good for the genre, “It’s better songwriting you know… It’s better, like, ‘You cheating, lying, no-good …’ Yeah, those are the songs you want to hear in our format.” He explained it all during an interview with “Access Hollywood.”

At least someone has a positive outlook on it.
