The Brothers Osborne‘s latest single, “Stay A Little Longer” has been a slow burn all summer with its relatable lyrics about the sheer torture of love and the incredible guitar work of brother John. In the tune the Brothers lament that the ending of a relationship isn’t the torturous part– it’s that “it’s complicated” beginning stage of confusion that offers up the most pangs in your stomach.
With their brand new video for “Stay A Little Longer,” the Brothers Osborne were ready to showcase this stage of the relationship without being too literal.
TJ told Billboard, “Sometimes you watch videos and they do exactly what you think they would, exactly what the song is saying — at that point, you don’t even really need to watch it. We wanted the video to drive and home this idea that we’re all really the same in this feeling of uncertainty.”
The video features five real-life couples who represent relationships today– young and old, same-sex and interracial– all in throes of love and high emotions.
The Brothers Osborne were recently nominated for CMA Vocal Duo of the Year.
