This has been a long time coming, y’all. Carrie Underwood, the current first lady of country music, is finally going to be the musical headliner at one of the world’s biggest celebrations, New Year’s Eve in Times Square. This year Carrie will take the stage at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2016.”

“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than New York’s Times Square, one of the most magical places in the world, to ring in the New Year,” Underwood said in a press statement.

Carrie’s not the only one excited though, Ryan Seacrest has been Tweeting about the event as well.

The show begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on December 31st on ABC. It will be hosted, for the 10th year in a row, by Ryan Seacrest.

In the meantime, Carrie has been busy promoting her new album Storyteller, getting ready to host the 49th Annual CMA Awards, preparing for her 2016 tour and appearing and performing on talk shows.
