Kacey Musgraves, the country music breakout star who is currently nominated for three CMA Awards, just did something really cool for her little hometown of Mineola, Texas.

After putting on a show for the people of Mineola called Hometown Hang, Kacey took $100,000 of the proceeds and gave back to the place she calls home. The money will be used to improve the music and art programs at six Texas schools in the area.

6 Texas schools in my area will each get thousands of dollars JUST to use for enriching their art and music departments. [Some don’t even HAVE art and music depts!] And the other money went to help our beautiful Nature Preserve in my hometown where the concert was held. So proud! ❤️” Kacey said in an Instagram post.
