The Las Vegas Shooting Victims Set To Receive $31.5 Million Fund Payout

A fund started to support families of victims of the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival has announced that it will be giving out it’s $31.5 million. The Las Vegas Victims Fund plans to pay families of victims a maximum of $275,000 each and will vary disbursement based on injury.

The incredible sum of money was raised by over 9000 individual donors from across the world, some donations as much as $400,000. The Vegas Strong Fund, a group comprised of members of the Nevada gaming and tourism industry, was one of the largest donors giving $5.2 million to the fund. But they were not the most inspiring. $66,000 came from the students, faculty, and staff of Green Valley High School outside Las Vegas who raised funds through T-shirt sales.

I The LVVF has identified 532 victims for various levels of payment. The 58 families who lost a loved one and the 10 others who were paralyzed or suffered permanent brain damage will be given the maximum payment. The minimum payment is $17,500 for those who spent at least one day in the hospital. No allocation is made for those who received outpatient treatment.
