The debut album from Nashville artist Michael Ray was released this past Friday, just in time to celebrate his debut single “Kiss You In The Morning,” impressively reaching the No. 1 spot this week. With the single garnering the highest one-week total number of spins in Country Aircheck history, Michael becomes the first debut male artist to have a No. 1 single since Sam Hunt last year and the only debut male to achieve a No. 1 in 2015 so far.
“Having my debut single go No. 1 is something I’ve imagined and worked for my entire life. This dream started when I was 9 years old singing in my grandpa’s country band in Eustis, FL. Music connects people like nothing else and I’m blessed I get to go out onstage every night and hopefully make people forget about their worries, at least for a few hours,” says Michael. “I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who has helped me make this happen and to everyone who has supported me and my music to get me to this place.”

The Scott Hendricks-produced 12-track album captures all the best of Ray, the singer-songwriter and guitarist who’s spent more than half his life performing for ever-growing crowds. Raised in Eustis, Ray has parlayed his true rural upbringing as a member of his grandfather’s old-school country band and made himself into an all-around entertainer who already had a healthy, built-in fan base across the Southeast before arriving in Nashville.
Michael will be joining Kip Moore this fall for his “Wild Ones” tour kicking off this October. For more information please, visit www.michaelraymusic.com orwww.facebook.com/MusicMichaelRay and follow him on Twitter at www.twitter.com/Michaelraymusic.
