Aerosmith Joins Jimmy Fallon For Epic Classroom Instruments Performance of “Walk This Way”

If there ever was a doubt that Aerosmith could still rock out after all these years, there is no doubt any longer. Heck, did you see what these rock legends just did with an array of children’s instruments on the Wednesday (Sept. 12) episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon?”

Indeed, Aerosmith showed off their talents as they sat down with Fallon and The Roots for a brand new performance of the 1975 classic rock tune “Walk This Way,” and let’s just say they sounded amazing! The band, made up of Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford, all looked liked they were having the time of their life singing and playing everything from a toy drum to two apple shakers.

Fans will recall that the “Classroom Instruments” segment is something that has been quite popular on “The Tonight Show,” with artists such as Adele, Ed Sheeran and Metalica all taking a stab at making music with the instruments of their childhood.

And for Aerosmith, it certainly serves as a nice warm-up for their upcoming residency in Las Vegas.

“We want to bring a show in there we really can’t do when on the road, on a regular tour,” Perry says in a recent interview. “So we want to bring a show that still has Aerosmith and all the guts of Aerosmith, but has a whole other element to it that we haven’t been able to do before.”
