Broadway actress Amanda Kloots is sharing an update on her husband Nick Cordero’s battle with coronavirus and it’s some good news.

We were made aware that Nick contracted the virus in early April after being misdiagnosed and has been in ICU on ventilators all that time.

“Nick has been sick for awhile with what we were told last week was pneumonia,” Amanda shared. “Unfortunately we think he was misdiagnosed and we are waiting to hear if this is in fact COVID. He is scared, in the ICU and now unconscious so his body can get enough oxygen. We are all trying to stay positive and strong knowing that he is in the best care.”

The broadway actress has been keeping fans abreast of her husband’s condition as he makes small steps in his recovery. Last night (April 15), she shared some positive steps.

“We just some good news and it’s all about small wins in the ICU,” Amanda wrote. “Nick is getting stronger and the AMAZING doctors and nurses think they can take him off ECMO soon! This would mean his heart and lungs would be functioning on their own. Anything can change in an instant, but we are staying positive! HE IS HEARING US GUYS!”

Along the way, Amanda, who has not been able to see her husband since she dropped him off at the ER 12 days ago, has encouraged her followers to sing and dance for Nick. The first song she had everyone play in unison was “Got a lot o’ Livin’ to Do” by Elvis Presley. (Amanda and Nick’s son’s name is Elvis) She then asked everyone to blast Nick’s song “Live Your Life.”

“TODAYS SONG! Blast it in your homes at 3pm PST/6pm EST! This is Nicks first original song that he released appropriately titled LIVE YOUR LIFE!! Sing with me and sing for Nick! Share this please with anyone you know. We’ve got this! #wakeupnick.”

She also shared the videos she has been receiving of fans joining in to sing and dance to Nick’s song.

“The whole world is singing your song for you @nickcordero1 from Australia to NYC! You can do this baby! We aren’t giving up on you. We are making you hear us! Everyday 3pm PST/6pm EST #wakeupnick.”

Our hearts are with the Cordero family in hopes of a speedy recovery for Nick. #Wakeupnick!
