After weeks of auditioning, interesting song choices and more than one embarrassing moment from Katy Perry, “American Idol” has finally chosen its Top 10 contestants.
Vying for the reality TV crown, officially, will be: Ada Vox, Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Dennis Lorenzo, Gabby Barrett, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe, Michael J. Woodard and Michelle Sussett.
Based on performances fan voting put Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Maddie Poppe, and Michael J. Woodard through to the live shows with judges adding Jurnee, Michelle Sussett and Dennis Lorenzo.
So, who do we think are the front-runners? In recent years, country music singers have resonated with audiences more. Two of the 10 singers left are country singers, with one, Gabby Barrett, able to sing in and out of the genre pretty well. Two other big favorites could be the completely original and fresh-faced Catie Turner and Maddie Poppe.
While there’s no way to know who the audience will grow to love, our money is on Barrett, Poppe, Turner and Hutchinson to last a while.
