Amy Schumer Opens Up About Undergoing IVF For Second Child

Hollywood had been vocal about their trials and tribulations with IVF—In Vitro Fertilization—to conceive a child. The latest celebrity to share her process is comedian Amy Schumer.

Amy took to Instagram to share her journey and asked for advice from followers who have also gone through IVF process.

“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” She wrote alongside a photo of her bruised belly. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do. My number is in my bio. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling.”

After receiving some advice from others, Amy went back to Instagram to thank fans and share her next steps. The 38-year-old shared a photo of herself in the fertility clinic, complete with ultrasound machinery.

“Thank you ladies and a few gentleman,” she wrote. “We are gonna freeze embryos hopefully. I learned to eat salty food after and drink Gatorade. Ice the area. Take arnica and put arnica on the bruises. To be patient and kind to myself and that there are sooooo many of us willing to be there for each other. ”

According to E! News, the couple are waiting to conceive their second child and are going through process to freeze eggs just in case.

“Your stories helped me more than you can imagine. I feel incredibly lucky. I’m really hoping this works and staying positive. Much much love! 💪🏾,” she added.

The Trainwreck star and her husband Chris Fischer in 2018 and announced that she was expecting her first child later that year. The couple welcomed their son Gene in May 2019.
