Congratulations are in order for Amy Schumer, 37, and her husband Chris Fischer, who welcomed their first baby Sunday night (May 5) at 10:55pm.
Amy took to Instagram announcing her baby’s arrival, which followed the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal baby announcement earlier in the day. While Amy’s baby was born first, she waited to make the announcement on Monday (May 6).
“10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” she wrote in the post.
Along with the news, Amy shared a beautiful photo of her new family, as her husband Chris bends down to place a kiss on her face.
Similar to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Amy did not reveal the name of her baby boy. Perhaps she waiting for Prince Harry and Meghan to reveal theirs first.
It’s no secret that Amy had a rough pregnancy. Throughout her pregnancy, the comedian has suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum, aa pregnancy complication characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and possibly dehydration.
Many celebrities posted congratulatory notes in the comment section, wishing Amy well.
