In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Caylee shared her side of the story, revealing that she felt betrayed by Peter.

“He absolutely betrayed me,” Caylee said. “He interviewed for a reality dating show while simultaneously planning a future with me. I trusted him entirely and he pulled the rug out from under me. We still kept in touch after the breakup, and we were trying to see each other again, up until early March, shortly before he left for filming. When I found out about the show, I texted him and told him that he owed me an explanation, but I never heard a word back.”

As of Monday night’s finale, Peter’s heart was broken after he was sent home by Hannah. But the 25-year-old is now ready to clear the air.

“There was a lot of truth to what she said in her story, but there is also a lot of truth that wasn’t mentioned,” Weber told People. “The show had absolutely nothing to do with me ending that relationship.”

He continued, “I was very serious in trying to progress that relationship and move it forward. And she wasn’t on the same page as me. That being said, I wasn’t going to waste her time or my time. But the casting process and my first interview was months after we broke up.”

While Peter explained his side of the story, he acknowledged that Caylee was hurt by him and he apologized for unintentionally hurting her.

“It’s obvious that I hurt someone that I really did care about,” he added. “That was never my intention. And for that I’m sorry. Breakups suck!”

They sure do. Peter was one of three men left standing on The Bachelorette before Part 1 of Monday night’s (July 29) season finale. Peter, Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt were still in contention after the ousting of Luke Parker. But it was Peter that was sent packing by Hannah, who felt a stronger connection with Tyler and Jed.

“Everything that our relationship has been perfect and it has been so easy. You’re like the dream guy,” Hannah told Peter through tears as she broke his heart. “It’s just like nothing wrong. Just not mine.”

Looks like a lot of hearts are being broken all the way around.
