Earlier this month, the Backstreet Boys announced that they’d be heading out on a world tour in 2019, marking their biggest tour in nearly 18 years. Alongside the announcement of their tour, the group released a new single and music video from their upcoming DNA album, “Chances.”
During the live Top 24 eliminations on “The Voice,” the Backstreet Boys made a special appearance to perform “Chances,” making us even more excited to catch them on tour.
The chorus sings:
What are the chances that we’d end up dancing? / Like 2 in a million, like once in a life / I could have found you, put my arms around you / Like 2 in a million, like once in a life / What are the chances?
“Chances” is sonically the closest to “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” but it also stands on its own. Lyrically, the song it’s not your typical Backstreet Boys love song, which is something we all really liked,” band member AJ McClean told Billboard of the single. “It’s more of that realistic love story about chance, to find that person in the most precarious of scenarios. It’s a really beautiful love song.”
The DNA album will be available on January 25, 2019 and will feature “Chances,” as well as their other recent hit, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”
