Britney Spears is taking some time for herself.

The “Toxic” singer, who hasn’t been in the spotlight for months since taking a break to care for her father’s health issues, posted a message on Instagram that she will be taking some “me time.”

Britney posted the words, “Fall In Love With Taking Care Of Yourself, Mind, Body and Spirit,” alongside a caption that read, “We all need to take time for a little “me time.” :).

The pop singer checked herself into an “all-encompassing wellness treatment” facility, according to sources for People. “Britney just needed to focus on herself,” the source added.

Earlier this year, before she was set to kick off her Las Vegas residency, Britney shared the news that she would not be performing in her upcoming residency as she steps away from work due to her father’s health.

“I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination,” she said in her post. “I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make.”

She went on to share that her father had recently endured a major health scare that almost took his life.

“A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand.”

We wish Britney well.
