The “Smokey and the Bandit” star talked with Hoda about his new film “The Last Movie Star,” and to talk about his legendary career. “It was very close to me this picture because lot of what was happening on screen is happening to me now,” he said. “Like, ‘You should retire, you should get out of this business.'”
He then went on to say that he would select George Clooney as the person to play him in a movie one day (alright), and then made a weird comment about Hoda. “So proud of you for not having your lips larger,” he said to her. “Okay, Burt,” she replied. Awkward.
Of course, the Internet came in at full force to question why he would even mention her lips in the first place.
Burt Reynolds ending his interview with Hoda: “I’m so glad you didn’t have your lips made larger.” *kisses hand*
