One day before the season premiere of her tear-jerking drama “This Is Us,” actress Mandy Moore headed to the set of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday (Sept. 24) to do a little whispering.
Yes, they decided to play “The Singing Whisper Challenge.”
Swapping the wear of noise-canceling headphones, the two went back and forth trying to guess the songs each were whispering to each other. The songs, which ranged from Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” to TLC’s “No Scrubs” to Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way,” ended up being quite the challenge for Moore, who proclaimed that she was the worst lip reader in the world.
Luckily, she is much better at acting.
“I’m glad I can laugh and smile in this season though, I’ve cried all the tears that are humanly possible in the past two seasons,” Moore said later in the show about the third season of “This is Us.” “I’m slightly flabbergasted that the thing I’m known for my career is making people cry.”
“You’re so good at acting different ages of yourself, it’s fascinating,” added Fallon, who also played a “This Is Us/Walk to Remember” quiz with the much-loved actress while she was on the show. “You make us feel all the feels.”
