One of the truest indications of a true star is someone who can sing on demand…and sound great doing it. That’s exactly what pop star Pink did on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Ellen bravely asked if she could sing a bit of her new music.
And she did! On demand!
The song, titled “Walk Me Home” tells a bit of the story of someone who just needs someone by their side as the outside world gets scarier and scarier. The single will be released on Feb. 22 and will be featured on Pink’s new album Hurts to Be Human, which is set for release in April.
Pink also revealed that the song will also have its own accompanying video.
“I haven’t talked about it yet,” Pink told DeGeneres. “I’m shooting a video in a week, I think, with Michael Gracey, the director from The Greatest Showman. I’m really excited about that. He’s amazing.”
But really, how awesome is she?
All this music news comes at the same time as Pink is currently celebrating receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (Feb. 5.)
“It was overwhelming,” admitted Pink to DeGeneres, who was on hand at the ceremony to pay tribute to her friend. “I was embarrassed. It’s so much attention and I had to stand up there while you talked about me. It was a lot for me. But it was amazing today. It was amazing.”
