Through the years, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice has been through it all – from marriage troubles to jail sentences to untimely deaths in the family.
And she shared it all on television.
But the latest challenge of her life journey is taking place away from the cameras. On Wednesday (Oct. 10,) news came down that her husband Joe would face deportation to Italy after his prison sentence concludes next year. Fans will recall that Joe and Teresa have both spent time in jail due to charges stemming from mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.
Joe is currently serving a 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud that began in March 2016. He is set to be released in 2019, at which time he’ll be deported to Italy.
“This is going to break her,” a source told People magazine about how Teresa is taking the news. “She always knew that this was a possibility, but she put it out of her head. That’s the only way she could go on living day-to-day.”
Since being released from her own prison sentence back in 2015, Teresa has been at home taking care of the couple’s three daughters. And for now, it sounds as if she is simply not looking too far into the future.
“It’s ridiculous to think that Teresa would even be making a decision about this right now,” the source said. “No one has any answers as to whether or not he’ll appeal, and how long that will take. She’s not thinking that far in advance.”
