“As you’re well aware the bush fires in Australia have caused massive devastation,” he began. “They continue to burn, there’s warmer weather on it’s way. We’re really still in the thick of it here as is plenty of challenging times ahead and still to come. What we need is you support and your donations. I’m going to put forward one million dollars and I was hoping that all of you could contribute it anyway shape or form, every dollar counts.”

He went on to thank all those who have sent well wishes and donations already. In addition to his video message, Chris then added an extra plea in the caption of his video.

“Hi everyone. Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia,” he wrote. “My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully you guys can chip in too. Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated. In my bio I’ve added links to support the fire fighters, organisations and charities who are working flat out to provide support and relief during this devastating and challenging time. Beyond appreciative to everyone around the world for their well wishes and donations. It really does make a difference, so dig deep! Love ya.”
