If you talk about Chrissy Metz you may be tempted to bring up her weight but the “This Is Us” star would rather you not. It isn’t that she is ashamed of her weight– her character’s storyline really delves into that struggle– more so that she is tired of talking about it. Talk to her about her style, her acting ability, her EMMY nomination, what she likes to do on the weekend, but please, don’t ask her if she is getting gastric bypass surgery. She’s tired of talking about it.

In an interview with the “Today Show” Metz revealed the most annoying thing she gets asked.

The question I wish people would stop asking me is, ‘Are you having weight loss surgery? Are you gonna be doing a gastric bypass?’ What? Some people do feel like they’re my doctors and they have tried to diagnose me on the internets. So that’s–that’s weird. But I’m good. I’m good, boo. But thanks. But I’m good.”

“This Is Us” is about to release its second season, and weight loss, binge eating, and health struggles are a part of the story. Metz just wishes people didn’t act like that was all of her story.
