Colton is a 26-year-old football player who came to Bachelor nation’s attention during Becca Kurfin’s season of “The Bachelorette.” He got media attention when he revealed he was a virgin and had previously dated gymnast Aly Raisman. Becca let the contestant go after her good friend Tia Booth revealed that she had feelings for Colton, whom she dated before his stint on “The Bachelorette.”
Tia and Colton wound up getting together on “Bachelor in Paradise.” But when the two split on Monday’s episode of “Bachelor in Paradise,” the door was open for Colton to be the next Bachelor.
Following their split, Colton took to Instagram with nothing but kind words for his ex. “Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise,” Colton wrote. “Don’t settle for anything less than the world, because that’s what you deserve. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and catch up on life some day, preferably over a hot dog dinner.”
Congratulations to Colton, or better yet, good luck.
