As her daddy Dale Earnhardt Jr., embarked on his first weekend serving as a NASCAR race analyst for NBC, little two-month-old Isla Earnhardt got to spend some one on one time with her over the moon Mommy, Amy.
And yes, everyone looks like they couldn’t be happier.
“This little nugget is getting cuter every day! Hope she knows I don’t really mean it when I tell her I’m gonna eat her up,” Amy Earnhardt wrote on her Instagram page on Wednesday (June 27) alongside a picture of her and her gorgeous daughter. “I imagine she’s thinking, “Mom, settle the hell down.” No sign of that happening.”
Indeed, every parent knows that amazing feeling that comes as a baby gets a little older and starts to react a bit more to the world around her. And seeing his little girl happy and taken care of is certainly going to help Dale Jr. pay attention to the job at hand, which will be being a part of the NASCAR broadcast team on NBC on Sunday (July 1) in Chicago.
It’s a job that he says he hopes to have for a long time to come.
“I went from thinking, ‘I wonder if I can be a broadcaster, will anybody give me a chance, maybe I can get a shot at it,’ to thinking, ‘Man, I want to do this for a long time,'” Earnhardt said in a recent interview. “I wasn’t ready to quit working.”
