On Tuesday, June 5 it was announced that iconic fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in her Manhattan apartment in an apparent suicide. The world was quick to pour out their condolences and sadness over Spade’s death and now, her family is speaking out, too.
Actor and comedian David Spade, who is the brother of Kate Spade’s husband, Andy Spade, took to his Instagram to mourn the loss of his beloved sister-in-law.
“Fuzzy picture but I love it. Kate and I during Christmas family photos. We had so much fun that day. She was so sharp and quick on her feet. She could make me laugh so hard,” he said. “I still can’t believe it. It’s a rough world out there people, try to hang on.”
He shared another picture on his Twitter of Kate at one of his book signings, saying, “Katy at my book signing. I love this pic of her. So pretty. I don’t think everyone knew how f****** funny she was.”
