Incredibly heartbreaking news for Demi Lovato.
The singer has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after overdosing, TMZ initially reported.
“LAPD and LAFD responded to a medical emergency at the 8000 block of Laurel View Dr. at 11:40 a.m.” the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to People. A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department told People they “transported a 25-year-old female patient to a local hospital.”
The 25-year-old artist recently released a song called “Sober” about breaking about breaking her 6-year sobriety streak. “Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor / And I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human,” the lyrics read.
The story is continuing to develop. Our thoughts and prayers are with Demi and her loved ones at this time.
